Step 1 - Raise a ticket
The first step in the BuildaaS process is to submit a maintenance request. We’ve made this as simple as possible, offering multiple ways to raise a ticket:
- Online Portal: Access our user-friendly portal anytime to submit a request.
- Mobile App: On the go? Use the BuildaaS app to quickly raise a ticket, upload photos, and provide any additional details.
- 24/7 Helpdesk: Our dedicated helpdesk team is available 24/7 to take your call and create a service request for you.
Once you raise a ticket, we capture all the relevant details of your request:
- A brief description of the issue.
- Photos (optional but helpful).
- The urgency of the request (urgent, routine, or scheduled).
Step 2 - We assign you the right trades person from our team
After you submit your request, BuildaaS takes over the coordination of the job. Here’s what happens next:
- Professional Assignment: We assign the appropriate tradesperson from our team. Whether it’s an electrician, plumber, HVAC specialist, or handyman, we ensure the right professional is dispatched to handle your specific request.
- Estimated Time of Arrival: Once assigned, the tradesperson’s estimated arrival time is communicated to you. If there are any delays or changes, we’ll keep you updated.
- Emergency Handling: If your request is an emergency, we prioritize it, ensuring a tradesperson arrives promptly to resolve the issue.
Step 3 - We do the work
Once our qualified specialist arrives on-site, they begin the necessary work to resolve the issue. Here’s what you can expect:
- Professional Assessment: The tradesperson assesses the situation, explains the proposed solution, and confirms that the correct materials are available to complete the job.
- Efficient, Minimal Disruption: Our team is trained to complete the job as efficiently as possible, with minimal disruption to your daily routine. Whether it’s a quick fix or a more involved task, we work swiftly to get your property back to normal.
- Clear Communication: Throughout the process, we maintain clear communication, ensuring that you understand the progress of the work and any additional details you may need to know.
Step 4 - Maintenance Hours Deduction
Prepurchased hours
After the job is completed, the maintenance hours used for the service are automatically deducted from your BuildaaS account. The number of hours deducted is based on the scope and complexity of the task, which is pre-determined and communicated before the work begins. Once the service is finished and the job details, including photos and notes, are uploaded, the system calculates the hours spent and reduces your available balance accordingly. You will receive an instant notification confirming the deduction, and you can view the updated balance through the BuildaaS portal or mobile app. This ensures you have full transparency and control over your maintenance hours.
Access membership
For homeowners with the £9.99 access membership, the cost of services will be calculated based on our standard support hourly rate, which is more affordable than most alternatives in the market. Since pre-purchased hours are not available with this membership, the total cost for the service will be determined by the actual time spent on the job. After the work is completed, the cost will be automatically deducted from the card on file, which is a requirement for this type of membership. You will receive a notification with a breakdown of the charges, and the deduction will be reflected in your BuildaaS account for full transparency. This system ensures that you receive professional service at a competitive price without the need for pre-purchased maintenance hours.
Step 5 - Documentation & Service History
After the job is completed, we ensure that every task is carefully documented, giving you full access to a complete service history for your property. This is a critical part of our service:
- Before-and-After Photos: For clarity and transparency, the tradesperson will upload before-and-after photos of the job. This visual documentation helps you see exactly what was done.
- Detailed Notes: In addition to photos, we provide detailed descriptions of the work completed, including the time spent, materials used, and any recommendations for future maintenance.
- Service History Access: All maintenance work, repairs, and inspections are logged in your BuildaaS account. You can access your property’s service history anytime through the BuildaaS portal or mobile app. This helps you keep track of maintenance, anticipate future repairs, and even boosts the resale value of your property by showing a well-maintained history.
Ongoing Support and Updates
Once the job is complete and documented, our support doesn’t end there. BuildaaS ensures that your property continues to receive the attention it needs:
- Proactive Maintenance Reminders: Based on the service history, we will notify you when regular maintenance or inspections are due.
- Service Summaries: You’ll receive monthly or annual service summaries that provide a snapshot of all completed tasks, upcoming maintenance, and remaining hours in your subscription plan.
- Feedback and Quality Control: We value your feedback. After each job, we send out a quick survey to ensure you’re completely satisfied with the work performed and the overall service experience.
